Happy New Year friends!
Here we are again, at the start of another fresh year.
To be completely candid though, I’m not a big new years person — I don’t make big new years resolutions and it feels like every other regular day.
My personal distate comes from this whole focus on setting goals. This is when all the non-fiction fiends come out with their latest top 10 books to smash your productivity, find your power and build the life you want. Are you cringeing yet?
You can change any day of the year, not just new years day. And if you can find a rhythm you can just stick to, most things can be achieved. Want to get fit? Get good at a 10 minute walk every day. Want to write? Write a paragraph a day on your phone. Find a way to do these activities slowly and joyfully and you’ll usually get there. Magic is found in the mundane.
But onto brighter things! I am excited about a read coming up next on my TBR – ‘Road To Freedom’ by Gabrielle Davis. I love when I get to read the works of Aussie authors!!

Debut novel update (84k words)
I’m editing part 4 in my seventh draft of my debut fantasy/sci-fi novel, draft eight coming soon after! I’m right up to the intense battle scene, so it’s getting juicy. Excited to keep editing.

What I’m reading/finishing readingÂ
When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Dragon Silver by Anna Lauten
Psykhe by Kate Forsyth
