Jess Knaus is an indie sci-fi/fantasy author and musician based in Newcastle, NSW. She loves creating stories that blend the fantastical with the deeply personal.

She’s currently editing her debut sci-fi and fantasy novel after spending many years sharpening her storytelling skills through study and short fiction. With a background in music, Jess has released an EP (Late Night Drive, 2012) and an album (Loud + Clear, 2019), using songwriting as a way to explore character and emotion—skills she now brings to her writing. She’s also a podcaster, writing and producing the children’s podcast, Aussie Tiny Tales, and hosting the writing-craft podcast, After Hours Authors.

Sometime soon she’ll be releasing her debut novel and its soundtrack, so sign up for updates below to know when that time has come!
